Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Universal Smart TV Remote ("SmartRemote", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. License and Permitted Use

A Prickly Pear Studio LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices that you own or control.

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or distribute the application code, or use the application to interfere with network equipment or third-party devices without authorization.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

SmartRemote offers optional Pro access through recurring subscriptions (monthly or yearly) and one-time lifetime purchases:

  • Free Trials: Subscription plans may include introductory trial periods (such as 3 days or 7 days). Unless canceled before the trial period concludes, the subscription automatically renews at the standard price.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Cancellation and Management: You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Google Play account settings.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are processed directly by Google Play in accordance with Google Play refund policies.

4. Third-Party Hardware and Trademarks

SmartRemote interacts with third-party televisions and streaming media devices using local network protocols and standard infrared signals. Roku, Samsung, LG, Android TV, Google TV, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. A Prickly Pear Studio LLC is an independent software studio and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Roku, Samsung, LG, Google, or any television manufacturer.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive for compatibility across common home network configurations and television models, we do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity or operation with every network router, firmware version, or television model.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, A Prickly Pear Studio LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the application.
